Post 6: Post graduate studies
Hi bloggers: Today's topic is about the studies people may do after they graduate from their first career. In your case, you've gor the great opportunity to do it at the end of your undergraduate studies with a lower fee and doing just one thesis for getting your professional certificate and the Master's degree. At least, this is what I understand about it. Am I right? In my personal case I started my Master's studies in Linguistics at Universidad Católica around 6 years after I had graduated as a teacher. I had a discount on my fee because I was a teacher at that university, but anyway it was not that much. I remember it was rather expensive. However, the worst part was to restart studying after 6 years while teaching in 3 different places. It was really HARD!!! What abou you What do you think about the idea of doing a postgraduate course. Write about one you would consider taking in the future. Why would you like to the course? what subject would you like to study? Where would you like to study: Chile or abroad? How would you like to study: distance learning, blended system, part time course? Don't forget to leave comments on 3 of your classmates' blogs and your teacher's as well. Use 220 words..

Post 5 : My future job
Hello everyone : Nowadays when the topic of education as a means of social mobility and all the implications of that fact, have been seriously questioned, analysed , and discussed , I think it is inevitable to relate education with future jobs, with your expectations about positions, jobs, salaries, types of work , etc When I was at school I always wanted to work with English as a translator or an interpreter. However, the year I had to enter the university, the career of Translation was closed. I was totally lost because it was the only one I liked. Then I decided to enter English Teaching at PUC in order to change careers internally. How naive I was at 17 !!! It was impossible in practice. Desperate this time, I received the best advice from a teacher: " As a translator, you can't work as a teacher, but as a teacher you can work as a translator anywhere". As easy as that! That's exacly what I've done in my professional development. What about you? what have you thought about it? For example, have you planned to take a major after you graduate? Explain why. What kind of job would you like to have? Describe it.What aspects would you consider when choosing your job? If you were asked in a job interview about your strengths and weaknesses, what would you say? Use 210 words and don´t forget to leave comments on 3 of your partners posts.
See you in classes! Bye

Post 4 : Free-themed topic : Videogames
Hi bloggers: As you can see, today's topic is one of the ones you chose:Video games. Well , you may guess that due to my old age, I'm very far from this topic. Actually, I have no experience with them at all, except for having seen them from a distance. Honestly, I didn't like what I saw: they looked like Japanese - designed cartoons , extremely violent: wars, fights, shootings, explosions, etc I'm afraid those topics are not my cup of tea. Anyway, you chose this topic because you belong to the millenial generation , so you were born and grew up with them ; consequently, you like them, don't you? I'd like you to write about why you like them. In case you don't, why not? Are there different types or "genres" of games? Tell me anything you consider important about them. Use 200 words. Don't forget to leave comments on 3 of your classmates'blogs as well as my own. CU.
